On Twitter, the Indian athlete expressed their regrets and said that she had lost her Filipino friend to breast cancer. She was brave and a true Warrior. They met at the 1968 Asian games. She was born on 26 December 1964 in Meycauayan Bulacan, Philippines. Between 2001 and 2004, she was elected a member of the Meycauayan Municipal Council. She competed in many Athletic Cup divisions, including the 400-meter and long jump. She took several courses throughout her career, including Tatang de Vega and Claro Pelosi.




How Did Lydia De Vega Die?

Four gold medals were awarded to her in the Asian athletics championships, and nine gold medals were won in the Southeast Asian games. She retired in 1994. De Vega was unable to compete in the Olympic Games. She was married to Paul Mercado who was an engineer at Meralco and an entrepreneur in the fish pond industry. Although she was taken immediately to Makati Medical Center, unfortunately, her life was not saved. She was representing her country.
